So, I am now a stay-at-home mom again! I do love it, but with a baby there isn't much to do. I do like the quiet but I'm starting to get antsy. So with my antsiness, I began surfing the web. I discovered etsy.com. It's like ebay but for hand made items. In my delirium, I thought "I can totally make that!" So why not. I've got lots of craft items from other things that I thought "I can totally make that!" The fact that I had a giant bin full of ribbon, material, beads, etc. didn't register. Somehow I forgot about all of the other crafts that I had thought about making or had started yet never finished. Maybe this time will be different. We'll just have to see.
The first thing that I started today is called a lovie. It's a small version of a baby blanket with ribbons on all of the sides. I found a lot of samples on etsy and found a few that I really liked. I had all of the materiels already, so I got out the dusty sewing machine and got to work. I hadn't used the sewing machine in years but it was like riding a bike!
I officially opened up my own store. After trying several different store names (they were already being used) Littlest Sweet Pea was born. I always call the kids my little sweet pea, so the name was perfect. Fortunatley, no one else had thought of it first.
