PKU Friendly Granola Bars

     I made some granola bars the other day and decided to try out the same recipe, PKU style!  The 3 ingredients that I used were Cambrooke's Apple Oatmeal, honey, and Dietary Specialists Peanut Butter. It was super easy and quick.




      1.   I took 3/4 cup of honey and heated it up on the stove.



      2.  Boil the honey for 1 minute.  Keep stirring but be careful, it's extremely HOT!



     3.  Add 1 cup of peanut butter to the honey mixture

     4.  Add the peanut butter and honey mixture to 2 cups of the oatmeal and mix together

     5.  Press the granola mixture into an 8x8 pan, lined with parchment paper.


     6.  Let it cool and use a paper towel to wipe the excess oil off.  I'm not exactly sure but I'm
          thinking that the oil is from the peanut butter.


     7.  Cut and enjoy!
