So, even if I don't follow through on everything, I know that I have quite a few meal choices for the week. We'll try this meal plan thingy again!
Sunday: Chicken Noodle Soup
*Earlier this week, we grilled out, so I had the hubby grill up our frozen chicken (it
always tastes better on the grill!)
Ingredients: grilled chicken
1 large can of chicken broth
1 large can of cream of chicken soup
1 bag of assorted frozen veggies
red onion
garlic
noodles
Directions: boil the noodles (duh)
while the noodles are cooking, put everything else in a different pot and cook
once the noodles are done, add them and simmer for about 15 min.
enjoy! I never said I was a genius or creative in the kitchen
Monday: Tacos
*Pretty self explanatory. We always add refried beans to the meat mix.
Tuesday: Pasta, Sausage, Salad & Italian Bread
*Again pretty easy. I don't make homemade pasta or sauce (don't judge)!
Wednesday: Breakfast Casserole
*Ryan's specialty!
Ingredients: hashbrowns or potatoes
eggs
cheese
breakfast sausage gravy
sausage
Directions: Heat oven to 400
Layer the bottom of the pat with the hashbrowns
Mix the eggs and spread over the hashbrowns
Layer the sausage on top of the eggs
Layer the breakfast gravy on top of the sausage
Cover with cheese
Bake for about 45 minutes (or until all of the eggs are cooked)
Thursday: Leftovers
Friday: Pizza
Saturday: Ham & Cheese Pasta

Welcome to MPM :)
ReplyDeleteI love refried beans on tacos and that ham & cheese pasta looks incredible!
First off I Love your blogg! You always make me smile :) I have two girls with CPKU. Ive notice your meal plans and wondered what you do for your little one as far as pku goes?
ReplyDeleteStephanie~ We try to give our little PKUer similar foods, if we can. I like to make her low protein pasta with the Cambrooke Chicken Consomme on it when we have pastas. She also likes the spinache ravs from Cambrooke. To be honest, most of her foods don't match up with what we're having. It's probably because I'm a dud in the kitchen and she doesn't eat a lot yet. So I hate to make up a bunch of low protein foods and most of it goes to waste...we currently use a lot of frozen items that I can just warm up!
