Menu Plan Week 3

Ok, I totally missed the Friday timeline.  I honestly knew it would happen and the fact that I was only into week 3 doesn't surprise me in the least!  I know myselft VERY well.  Oh well, life goes on and so shall I.  So here we are in week 3.  Things are still going great with the shopping (taking only the littlest kid), completing the recipes without setting the house on fire, and feeding the family without any emergency trips.  Life is good!
Last week, we had a few changes to our plans.....trip to the Apple Orchard and a 4-H banquet.  Those two events meant that we didn't need to make dinner those evenings, so the recipes were pushed into this week.
By the way, I thought I'd share what helps me with my grocery shopping.  I started subscribing to this blog (Living, Laughing, and Loving) found her menu planning, and got hooked.  The Eat Sheet (from Mommy Tracked), helps me stay organized with my menu planning and keeps me on task while at the grocery store.  It has definitely helped me keep me from buying extra items.....which lowers the grocery bill.  Now, who wouldn't want to do that?!?

SaturdayPizza Night (normally Friday, but plans changed)

Sunday:  Cowboy Casserole (originally planned for last week)

Monday:  HALLOWEEN!  We usually pick up something as we head out to the Grandparent's houses

Tuesday:  Crispy Baked Chicken with Rice and Green Beans
*We have a generic "Shake n Bake"  (right now I'm saying, It's Shake n Bake and I helped!) in the pantry, so I thought I'd put it to use.  I'll coat the chicken and bake it in the oven.  Make some chicken gravy (packet~  I have no idea how to make homemade gravy!), rice, and green beans.  Tasty :)

Wednesday:  Left Over Buffet

Thursday:  Minestrone Soup
*We have everything we need already....noodles, carrots, zucchini, garlic, spinache, etc.  I've attached a recipe, but we usually just throw what we have in the pot and let it cook all day!

Friday:  Breakfast~  Eggs, Bacon, Homemade Pancakes and Biscuits, and Gravy (yes it's from a packet!)  We follow the biscuit and pancake recipe on the back of Bisquick box.  Super easy and delicious!

Saturday:  Sausage and Zucchini Pasta
*Again, we had the zucchini (from our garden, yeah I'm that good!).  We also had pasta on hand.  So, I just needed to pick up some pasta sauce and sausage.  I included a recipe, but really....I think most people know how to cook pasta.  You can saute the zucchini, cook the sausage, add, and enjoy!
