Good Bye Google Reader, Hello Bloglovin'!

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Google Reader has officially left the building!  Google Reader was a way of organizing all of your favorite blogs into one spot, making it easier to read them.  It took me a while to find a replacement, with vacation and 4 kids my computer time is limited (until tonight- I actually was on for hours!)  Anyway, the replacement that I like and a lot of other bloggers like is called Bloglovin'.  I'd like to thank Blog Hoppin for creating an easy tutorial for us to use!

Soooo, here's what you (the reader) need to do.....

1.  Go to www.bloglovin.com and create an account
**You can create a new account using your email or facebook.

2.  If you sign up by email, you'll need to check your email for a confirmation.  If you sign up by facebook, you'll need to allow bloglovin' to access your information.

3.  Now that you've created an account, you can add your favorite blogs--LITTLEST SWEET PEA!

4.  If you follow other blogs, then you can use the drop down arrow (next to the heart) and add them as well!

5.  Now all of your favorite blogs are all in one place, ready for you to read.  You can even search for new blogs based on categories.

  1. I cannot abide bloglovin's mobile app...it's terrible! And since I do all my reading on my phone (I'm on dialup at home) I needed a different alternative to google reader. Feedly is pretty, but has too much 'stuff' for me, so I use gReader, which used to piggyback off Google Reader's feed, but now piggyback's off both feedly and The Old Reader. You have to have an account with either of those to sign into gReader, but it even beats the old Google Reader mobile app in my book.

  2. Thank you so much for letting me know. I'll check into it and see what I can do to add it to my blog. I know so many use their phone because of the convenience, that I would hate to leave people out! I would never have realized that without your comment. Thanks again.
